For UK professionals
Sales databases collect your work phone number and email address, then sell them to sales teams. ColdStop Pro asks them to delete your details on your behalf, under UK data protection law.

Why the calls keep coming
Companies such as ZoomInfo, Apollo and RocketReach build profiles of working professionals and sell access to sales teams. This is one reason you may hear from companies you have never contacted, sometimes using details from roles you left years ago.
Your details are gathered from websites, sign-ups and other data sources.
Customers of these databases can search for your work phone number and email address.
Every company has its own process: emails, online forms, identity checks and deadlines. Even then, details may be re-added.
How it works
1
Your current and previous work email addresses, phone numbers and job titles. You then sign a letter of authority online.
2
We send each one a formal objection to direct marketing and an erasure request. If a company requires a form or verification step that only you can complete, we tell you exactly what to do.
3
Companies that have not responded by the legal deadline, normally one calendar month, are chased. On our subscription plans we re-check every quarter and send new requests where your details reappear.

Yes. UK data protection law gives you an absolute right to object to the use of your personal data for direct marketing and, in certain circumstances, a right to have it erased. You can generally appoint a properly authorised representative to exercise those rights for you, which is the purpose of your letter of authority.
No, and no service can promise that. Some calls come from lists we cannot reach, and some companies are slow to respond. Our service is designed to reduce unwanted sales contact by having your details removed from the sales databases we cover, but results vary and we cannot guarantee a reduction. We follow up with every company that fails to respond, and you can see every outcome in your report.
You could, by contacting each company, completing its forms and following up. Most professionals do not have the time. We manage the entire process and keep a record of every response.
Companies must normally respond within one calendar month under UK law. Many respond within days. We follow up with those that do not.
Only to make your removal requests. Each company receives only the details it reasonably needs to find your record, and nothing is sent to any company until you have confirmed your email address.
